ROBERT B. ARMSTRONG
Bob Armstrong has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and human services administration, including several years as the Executive Director of the Western Maine Area Agency on Aging and over ten years as the Director of Rural Health Planning and Long Term Care for the Central Maine Healthcare Group of Lewiston, Maine.
He is a former member of the Maine Certificate of Need Advisory Committee and was the Chairman of the Maine Nursing Home Administrator's Licensing Board. He has also served as a faculty member at St. Joseph's College in Windham, Maine, where he taught Assisted Living Administration. He has also served as the President of the American College of Healthcare Administrators. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Maine Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
He has also served as the Vice Chairman of the Armed Forces Retirement Home Board, which oversees two JCAHO accredited continuing care retirement communities for retired military service personnel. In 2001, he was presented with the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service.
